Janine Throupe

janinetJanine founded her own training company, Access MHFA Training, based in Lancashire, providing mental health first aid training services across the North of England.

Janine had previously worked for the Charity Foundation, providing mental health awareness training for the last two years to all their frontline staff. She became an Associate MHFA instructor for MHFA England in 2017 and feedback from delegates is overwhelmingly positive. Janine takes pride in making the training as interactive and interesting as possible.

With an extensive background working in the private, public and third sector, Janine has a good working knowledge of Health and Safety, Employment Law and HR practice across all sectors, and an understanding of the challenges faced by Line Managers and HR when supporting employees. In addition, Janine has also worked closely with vulnerable and disadvantage people, often with mental illness or poor mental health, supporting them with their recovery and empowering them towards positive decision making around their own mental health.

Janine also has a BA (hons) in Social Policy and Criminology as well as a diploma and certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, an NVQ Level 3 in Management and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS).

Any size donation, no matter how small, will make a difference to those children, adults and families going through the distress caused by mental health issues.
