Adam has worked in Education for over 20 years. Recognition for his work has come in the form of a series of Outstanding Ofsted reports and a Pearson National Teaching Award in 2016. The work of Adam and his team has been cited in numerous publications and media outlets over a number of years.
He is passionate about giving a voice to those young people for which mainstream education has not been successful and ensuring that they are able to throw off the shackles of perceived limitations and transforming lives through ‘inspirational’ education. His mantra is ‘no child is unreachable’.
Adam has struggled with depression and anxiety for a number of years and his blog, ‘Taking off the mask: Depression and Me’ goes from strength to strength. He is all too aware that the mental health of school age young people AND staff is an ever-increasing issue and has offered very successful training and support to both groups, in recent years. He has built a very special relationship with a number of School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programmes and leads all their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) programmes to Trainee and Newly-Qualified Teachers; with whom he is particularly keen to share his knowledge.
A natural and gifted public speaker, he may make you laugh and he may make you cry but he will definitely make you listen.
